My story began a long time ago when my father took me to our village’s water dam. I was 7 years old and we had an old rowing boat. I immediately knew I would own a boat one day. When I was 16, a friend of mine gave me his canoe and said – “Take care of it, this boat brought me the best memories I ever had.” From that moment I realized, paddling and boating aren’t just an ordinary sport. It has its own soul, it is about freedom, consciousness, peace, and a sizzling sun on the water. Every time, every season, when I came home from my long trips abroad, a canoe was waiting for me there.
But with my active life, I don’t sit still. It’s just one of many things I do in my free time. I tried many sports, hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, and many more. But when I am sitting in a boat, I feel the most peaceful. Last year I was looking for a job abroad that would fulfill me in every aspect. I had many options in gastronomy, but change in life is really important to me. That is why I am here at Hightide.
