As a child, I loved being outside. Growing up in Thun was ideal for this: the lake was right on our doorstep and the mountains were not much further away. With my family and later with friends, I
spent as much time as possible in the mountains, on rivers or lakes, in the nearby forest or in wintry snowscapes.
Through my studies of sports science and especially an exchange semester, which I spent in Norway, I got to know all kinds of sports and thus also kayaking. I was immediately gripped by paddle fever and attended further kayaking courses at my university. Towards the end of my studies, I was looking for a job in which I could combine and put into practice
my passion for outdoor sports as well as the learned knowledge from my studies. So I found my way to Hightide.
Although I already knew the region, my job taught me to love Lake Brienz and its beautiful surroundings even more. I like to share this joy with our guests and I like to give them an insight into the history of one of the most beautiful and interesting lakes in Switzerland.
