Admin & Sales Support Outdoor / Tourism Industry
You love nature and outdoor sports, have a talent for organisation, you are flexible and adaptable and you are able to keep an overview also in stressful situations?
If yes, then we are looking for exactly you! We are a small company, driven by our love of nature and paddle sports, based in Bönigen/Interlaken on the shore of Lake Brienz. We are surrounded by breathtaking nature and our hobbies – paddling, outdoor adventures, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, etc. – are all just a short step away from our workplace and home.
To further develop Hightide and inspire and reach more people, we are looking for someone who not only has a passion for the outdoors, but someone who loves being an allrounder and loves to inspire customers and guests with their warm attitude.
The position is diverse and varied, as you will plan and organise from the back office in winter and personally implement the plans directly at the front of the outdoor swimming pool and beach café in summer.
Your responsibilities at Hightide
October – April (100% back office)
● Customer communication via email / phone regarding our kayak and SUP tours and courses
● Booking and rebooking of tours in the booking system (Trekksoft / Regiondo)
● Coordination with the head guide regarding tours and group bookings
● Communication with agencies and partners
● Improvement and development of admin processes
● Support in marketing topics (social media & homepage adjustments, organisation of live music concerts)
● Due to our industry, Saturday/Sunday are among the main working days
May-September (80-90% front desk / 10-20% back office)
● Allrounder at the reception of our swimming pool and the Beach café
● Customer service, sales at the cash terminals of the lido + café, closing of the cash terminals
● Customer communication via e-mail / telephone / in person
● Rebooking of kayak and SUP tours in the booking system, internal coordination of group requests
● Rental of kayaks, SUPs and pedalos
● Support of the gastro team (mixing long drinks, filling up drinks, washing up dishes)
● Due to our industry, Saturday/Sunday are among the main working days
Ideally you are bringing with you
● Education in service or business background
● Work experience is an advantage but not necessary
● Very good knowledge of German (in word and speech)
● Good knowledge of English (in word and speech)
● Motivation, creative ideas and ability to work in a team
● Strong communication skills and assertiveness
● Sharing our values, love of nature and outdoor sports
● Interest in a long-term employment where you can thrive and grow
As we are a small company working in the outdoor industry, our budget is limited; however, we have many other resources such as our creative minds, flexibility, a space to do things differently and an amazing team who are always willing to help and make sure our guests and we have a great time.
