Manfred Thurner
Cook

I completed my apprenticeship as a cook in Freudenstadt in the Black Forest. This was followed by almost two years of socially-minded civilian service. After that, I went to the Kurhaus in Freudenstadt to continue my training as a young chef. Since I always liked to travel, I decided afterwards to go to Canada.
So it is not surprising that in my 42 years of professional life as a chef I have had the opportunity to get to know many places, countries and people and their cultures.
Whether 12 years on a ship, Canada, Austria or many states of my home country Germany as well as my last 17 years in Switzerland. They always had one thing in common. I am always immediately at home and feel that I have arrived wherever I am.
It has always been important to me to combine my profession and my wanderlust. I like to invest in beautiful memories. They are important to me and give me a good feeling about life. My hobbies besides cooking are fishing, music, politics, driving a convertible, and steaming.
I am looking forward to a turbulent and busy season with all my new colleagues.
