Guide

I grew up in the Ruhr region in Germany. Although I lived in such an urban region, I already have been fascinated of nature as a child. I also loved traveling from an early age. With my family I spent many summer vacations on the German coasts – mostly I could be found somewhere with my fishing rod on the waterfront or watching boats in the harbour. Until today I love traveling and exploring new places.
When I was 18 years old, my grandfather gave me an old kayak and I started my first attempts at paddling. I was fascinated right away!

In 2013 I moved to live with my girlfriend in Interlaken after we met while traveling in Canada. Surrounded by two lakes, rivers and mountains, I spend as much time as possible outside and all over in Switzerland. I started paddling regularly and took various courses. That’s how I got to know Hightide. On a kayak trip on the Isles of Scilly, I told Dave that I would like to learn to lead tours. So I got the opportunity to work as a kayak guide beside my job as a geotechnician. I appreciate spending time on the water with our guests, sharing my passion for paddling and am happy to pass on my knowledge of nature.
In my freetime you can usually find me in the mountains, fishing, or gardening if I am not on the water.
