White Water Introduction

Description

An evening course designed to introduce you to the thrills and spills of white water. Safety is our top priority and second is that you have a memorable, enjoyable and inspiring first experience of alpine white water kayaking. Our aim is to give you an exciting first taste and increase your confidence in this new exciting environment.

Prerequisites

Some kayaking experience, ideally completion of the British Canoeing Explore Award or the old 2 Star award.  Just get in touch to discuss if you're not sure

What’s included

Experienced White Water coach, small group ratios, top quality equipment including neoprenes and jackets

What to bring with you

Swimming clothes, sunglasses, sunhat, suncream, closed footwear that you can get wet (no flip flops), change of clothes, lunch, drinks and snacks

Weather

Please note that our courses and tours run in all weather that is safe for us to paddle in. Often the weather is better than predicted and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature with all its faces and even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere can be beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm longjohn wetsuits and high end paddle jackets to ensure you’re warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we will notify with as much notice as we can.

Insurance

Please note that bookings are subject to our terms and conditions and cancellation policy. We recommend that you have an insurance policy to cover the course costs in case of illness or medical problems. Swiss residents can purchase annual AXA cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
