The Paddlesport Leader Award is a two day course aimed at paddlers taking on formal leadership responsibilities in benign, sheltered water environments and aims to support leaders to run safe, quality, enjoyable trips based on their group’s needs and aspirations.
During the duration of the course, candidates will be assessed on the following criteria: leadership skills, personal paddling skills, rescue skills and background knowledge, understanding and experience of the sport.

Experienced coach, small group ratios, top quality equipment including neoprenes and jackets if needed
Swimming wear, a quick drying t-shirt for under the wetsuit, sunglasses, sunhat, sun cream, footwear to be worn in the water (crocs for example), change of clothes, drinks and snacks, packed lunch.

By Public Transport
Bus 103 from Interlaken Trainstation Ost or West to Bönigen See (direction Iseltwald). Runs at :05 & :35 throughout the day taking 5 - 10mins. Check your times at http://www.sbb.ch/fahrplan.html. Short walk (3mins) from the Busstop to the Strandbad. This bus is free with your guest card and runs every 30 minutes from Interlaken Ost or West.
Direction to Interlaken
Take the A8 to Interlaken. Exit at Bönigen, turn left on to Hauptstrasse and take the first exit at the roundabout on to Interlakenstrasse. After the bridge turn right in to Lütschinenstrasse. You will find a small parking area at the end of the road.
Direction to Brienz
Take the A8 to Interlaken and Exit at A26 Interlaken Ost. Follow the signs to Bönigen. When you get to the bridge turn left in to Lütschinenstrasse. You will find a small parking area at the end of the road.
From Interlaken Ost follow the signs to the boats. Turn right at the river and follow it along the trail signs towards Bönigen. Turn right after the camping sight and walk to the end of the road (around 35mins).

Often the weather is better than predicted and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature with all its faces and even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere can be beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm longjohn wetsuits and high end paddle jackets to ensure you’re warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we will notify with as much notice as we can.
