Adaptive Courses

Adaptive Kayaking Courses

We run a variety of courses for people with disabilities with something for everyone. Our specialist adaptive kayaking courses are initially run on a private basis as an individual, a group of friends or with the family. These are a great way to get started, to try out the sport on your own, get to know the equipment or just as a great way to spend time with family and friends. Our aim is then to help you to develop on your own so that you can join our regular programme or activities within paddling clubs around Switzerland or abroad. We’re here to support you in achieving your aims.

Tasters & Tours

We offer our local tours on the beautiful Lake Brienz allowing you to experience the beauty of our local mountain lake from this unique perspective and feel the freedom that the water gives us. Experience the grandeur of the surrounding mountains, the beautiful cliffs and the calmness of the incredible turquoise lake.

Adaptive Kayak Coaching

These tailor made sessions are focused on getting you started in the sport, getting used to the equipment and developing your skills. We can cover any topic from forward paddling and boat handling to rescue skills or rough water training. We are at your service and will ensure that you get the most out of the session and give you lots to take away, and lots to practice, to get you on your way to become as independent as possible. If you’d like further information or have any questions just drop us a line and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Kayak Fun Sessions for People with Disabilities

A half day full of fun and adventure that’ll put smiles on the faces of all the family. Be the captain of you own ship, take a swim in the turquoise waters from a hidden beach, play games and test your balance while Eskimo kissing your boat. Whatever your abilities are, we’ll make sure sure you have a great time. Lake Brienz is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful lakes and its enchanting turquoise colour is a real treat for all the family. The half day is packed full of games and challenges, which will leave you all wanting more. An important prerequisite: be ready for a splash or two!

Hightide Kayak School’s Regular Programme

Once you have started out and we have found the right equipment or adaptations then our aim is that you can then take part in our normal range of courses. We believe in inclusion and integration in our sport and if you’re feeling happy in your boat, there is no reason why you can’t take part in our regular programme with our coaching sessions, tours and expeditions.
