Lake Thun Day Tours

Our “Swiss Lakes Tours” are aimed at paddlers who have tried it before and who want to explore some of the most beautiful corners of Switzerland whilst further developing your skills.

Lake Thun offer a wonderful day trip kayaking where we get changing scenery, a possible open crossing of the lake, huge cliffs and a beautiful waterfall. The lake is a real classic paddle in Switzerland and always a favourite among our guests.

Starting in Neuhaus by Interlaken, we make our way towards the dramatic cliffs below Beatenberg. A perfect opportunity for a swim and a break before we continue to enjoy the wonderful scenery passing more cliffs and waterfalls, before either continuing to Merligen or making the 3km crossing over to Spiez depending on weather conditions.

Please note that our courses and tours run in all weather that is safe for us to paddle in. Often the weather is better than predicted and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature with all its faces and even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere can be beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm longjohn wetsuits and high end paddle jackets to ensure you’re warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we will notify with as much notice as we can.

Please note that bookings are subject to our terms and conditions and cancellation policy. We recommend that you have an insurance policy to cover the course costs in case of illness or medical problems. Swiss residents can purchase annual AXA cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
