Lake Lucerne Urnersee Improver

Lake Lucerne 2 Days

Our “Swiss Lakes Tours” are aimed at paddlers with some paddling experience and explore some of the most beautiful corners of Switzerland whilst further developing your skills.

Description

Lake Lucerne or Vierwaldstättersee is a jewel in central Switzerland with its variety of arms and uninterrupted dreamlike mountain scenery, dramatic cliffs and history central to Switzerland itself. Our two days uncover a good portion of the lake with a start in Weggis in the central part of the lake and a journey down towards Brunnen where we spent the night.  The second day for the most dramatic part of the lake, Urnersee. This part of Lake Lucerne is remote, wild and incredibly beautiful, and when the weather conditions allow we make a circular trip exploring its wonder, and experiencing the often rough conditions that the lake provides.

Typical Itinerary

After our meet in Brunnen, we transfer to our paddling start point at Weggis, Lützelau (If travelling by public transport you can meet us directly here).
We then spend the first day paddling between Weggis and Brunnen and the second day on Urnersee.

It is possible that the itinerary changes due to wind conditions and if so we'll let you know latest the day before the trip.

Meeting Points

08:45 Camping Hopfräben (We often camp the night before as well)

09:30 Bus Stop Weggis, Lützelau

Often the weather is better than predicted and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature with all its faces and even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere can be beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm longjohn wetsuits and high end paddle jackets to ensure you’re warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we will notify with as much notice as we can.
