Swiss Riviera, Lake Geneva

Our Improver Weekends are aimed at paddlers who have tried it before and who want to explore some of the most beautiful corners of Switzerland whilst further developing your skills.

On our Improver Weekend trips we paddle around 15 km per day for 2 days. We start the weekend on Saturday morning but often meet up already on Friday evening for a drink or dinner as most of us tend to stay at the campsite or nearby.

What to expect

Based in the St Saphorin and Montreux, we paddle and explore the shores of this famous wine region and UNESCO world heritage site and on the second day we reach the famous Chateaux de Chillon with a close up view from the water and then beyond to the Rhone delta. Surrounded by beautiful mountain views the great climate of Lake Geneva promises a memorable weekend away.

Some paddling experience and completion of our Sea Kayak Skills and / or Rescue Skills Day.

Weather

Please note that our courses and tours run in all weather that is safe for us to paddle in. Often the weather is better than predicted and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature with all its faces and even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere can be beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm longjohn wetsuits and high end paddle jackets to ensure you’re warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we will notify with as much notice as we can.

Insurance

Please note that bookings are subject to our terms and conditions and cancellation policy. We recommend that you have an insurance policy to cover the course costs in case of illness or medical problems. Swiss residents can purchase annual AXA cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
