Description

Surfskis are great fun and are designed to go fast. Unlike a sea kayak where you sit in, you sit on top and wear a leash.  They sit somewhere between fast sea kayaks and more stable racing kayaks and are normally paddled with wing paddles. The are great for general fitness paddling and for training efficient forwards paddling technique, which will benefit you whatever craft you paddle.

We also offer a regular training for hightide members on Thursday evenings and we have a Kayak and V7 challenge where you can paddle our 5km route and record a time for a bit of fun and as motivation to get out and beat your time. Click on the links above for more information.

Please note that we also offer coaching courses to help develop your existing skills and provide you with additional tuition on a range of techniques. If you are interested in joining us on one of our coaching courses please visit Coaching, Safety and Rescue Courses or White Water Courses for further information.
