Winter Kayaking

Winter Half Day Tours

Description

The winter months offer some of the most breathtaking views of Lake Brienz. From your kayak, you are surrounded by snow covered mountains which reflect beautifully on the mirror-like water. Winter is the time of year where we truly have the lake to ourselves and whatever the weather you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience. Escape the crowded ski pistes for a while and join us in this peaceful and magical environment.
We provide Palm`s top of the range Aleutian dry suits and boots to keep us dry and hard-earned cups of tea to warm us up after our paddle.
The session lasts 3 hours of which we spent around 2 hours on the water. We also offer both group tours and private sessions (tours & coaching) for a tailor made trip out on the lake.

We run our winter tours approximately until the end of April every year until the water temperature in the lake rises up.

What’s included

Experienced Sea Kayak Coach, small group sizes (from 2-6), top quality sea kayaks and paddles and photo package. Drysuits are obligatory and if you don't have one, we rent the top end Palm Aleutian and Bora drysuits for CHF20 including Poggies and booties.

What to bring with you

Warm clothes to be worn under the dry suit: Thick socks, thermal bottom top and a thin jumper. Extra layers if very cold, sunglasses, sunhat, cream (you never know), change of clothes in case you get sweaty or a bit wet.

This bus is free with your guest card and runs every 30 minutes from Interlaken Ost or West. Alternatively, if you would prefer to drive there is free parking situated behind the Hotel Seiler au Lac next door to our office.

Weather

Please note that our courses and tours run in all weather conditions provided that it is safe to paddle. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm wetsuits, drysuits and high-end paddle jackets to ensure that you are warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we aim to notify you as soon as the decision has been made and we will try to re-schedule for the soonest opportunity.
