Our rolling courses are designed to help you work towards having a solid roll, a key skill for anyone looking to further develop in the kayaking world.
With a mixture of dry land and water-based work throughout the day, we begin by mastering your support strokes (a useful skill in itself) before moving on to focus on The Eskimo Rescue in detail.
Piecing together these skills, we then attempt to work on rolling. The aim of the session is to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the roll. The roll itself can take many hours of dedicated training and practice sessions (even for the most seasoned of kayakers) but it is our hope that you will complete a fully independent roll, a roll with minimum assistance or demonstrate an understanding of the steps needed to carry out a successful roll so that you can continue to practice in your own time.
The course day starts at 9.15am and ends at 4.15pm. Should you have any further requests or require additional information please feel free to contact us.

Please note that our courses and tours run in all weather conditions provided that it is safe to paddle. Often the weather is better than forecast and part of the charm of our sport is experiencing nature in all the elements - even on a rainy day, the views and atmosphere are beautiful and dramatic. We pride ourselves on having top quality equipment, including Palm wetsuits and high-end paddle jackets to ensure that you are warm and happy whatever the weather. If conditions are unsafe to paddle in we aim to notify you as soon as the decision has been made and we will try to re-schedule for the soonest opportunity.
Please note that bookings are subject to our terms and conditions and cancellation policy. We recommend that you have an insurance policy to cover the course costs in case of illness or medical problems. Swiss residents can purchase annual AXA cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
